The company are offering a number of opportunities for Graduates and those interested in an Apprenticeship across a range of disciplines, with each Programme designed with the view to long term career opportunities within Quinn upon successful completion.
Kevin Lunney, Operations Director at Quinn, opened the evening with a presentation introducing the company, explaining the business requirements, career pathways and expectations of successful Programme applicants.
Assistant Chief Executive of South West College, Kieran McManus, spoke passionately about the very successful business partnership Quinn has with the College and set out the expectations of students on the Apprenticeship Programmes.
Attendees were provided with an in depth look at the Programmes of interest to them by members of Quinn’s Human Resources team and had the chance to discuss the opportunities with the HR staff individually.
Electrical and mechanical simulations were in place to give those in attendance a flavour of some of the electrical and mechanical components they may get an opportunity to work with, and there were tours of the facilities led by divisional managers.
Speaking of the event, Quinn’s Human Resources Manager, Caroline McCaffrey, said,
“We’re delighted with the turnout at the Open Evening and to see a great level of interest in all of our Programmes from across the border counties. The Programmes we’re offering are part of our commitment to succession planning for the business and to continue to develop and retain the skills we have in our local area for the long-term benefit of this region.
We’ve been providing opportunities like this for many years, with 13 Apprentices currently employed in the business who are working towards their qualifications and many of our management team having successfully completed the Graduate Programmes.”
