Quinn Industrial Holdings has been awarded the Investors in People “Silver” standard award

Quinn Industrial Holdings (QIHL) has been accredited with the Investors in People Silver standard for its two subsidiaries; Quinn Building Products and Quinn Packaging.  Investors in People is a recognised organisational management framework aimed at achieving high-performance through dedicated investment in employees. This prestigious accreditation is recognised across the world and throughout organisations as a mark of excellence and best practice in personnel empowerment and is benchmark indicating quality employment.

This award comes on the back of some very positive news from QIHL since it was acquired in December 2014 including significant new employment and investment and reinforces the intent of the business to quickly regain its position as the employer of choice in the region.  The business employs over 730 employees in a range of manufacturing and related sectors in Derrylin Co Fermanagh and Ballyconnell Co Cavan.

Caroline McCaffrey, Human Resources Manager commented: “This is a very prestige award and a fantastic achievement for the Company.  It is recognition of the vast changes that have been put in place within the business since QIHL took over the business in December 2014.  This award commends the strength and diversity of employee development programmes that have been established including; continuing education, succession planning, staff motivation, employee engagement and the overall team-work ethos that exists across the Company.  We are all truly delighted to have achieved this award”.

John Mulholland the IIP assessor commented: “It was a privilege and a pleasure conducting this assessment. I was particularly impressed by the commitment, dedication and loyalty displayed by everyone to QIHL.  There is a really strong, positive vibe and there is a renewed sense of optimism as the organisation is showing significant improvements in performance. The Graduate Management and Apprenticeship programmes will bring new blood into the organisation, allowing QIHL to build on the really solid foundation which has been laid to date “.
