18th December 2019

Project: Denewood, Ingleby Barwick

Developer: Charles Church (Persimmon Homes)

Roofing Contractor: ARC Leeds Ltd.

Solution: Quinn Rooftiles, Locherne Range

Quinn Rooftiles Locherne Range was the rooftile of choice for Charles Church for a large development of residential properties at their site at Denewood, Ingleby Barwick. The site comprises of 138 units of 3, 4 and 5 bedroom homes near the market town of Stockton-on-Tees in County Durham.

Built in a sought-after residential suburb within the Stockton-on-Tees borough, maintaining the character of the local region was a priority for the developer, so their choice of roof tiles was an important consideration in achieving this goal and maintaining the Charles Church reputation for design and quality.

Two colour options from the Quinn Locherne Range were chosen, Clay Red and Rustic Mix, for their complimentary style which was in keeping with the rustic charm of the area.

Quinn Rooftiles supplied over 100,000 roof tiles to Charles Church for the development, the majority of which were Quinn Locherne Clay Red tile, due to its close comparison to natural clay pantile which is very prevalent on older properties in the region.

The Locherne is a double pantile tile forming a gentle flowing pattern that gives instant visual appeal and is available in five colours. It performs on pitches as low as 17.5° and combines its exceptional strength and beautiful smooth surface with stunning aesthetics.

This particular Charles Church site is one of a number of Persimmon Homes developments in the region, and sits alongside its sister site, Meadowbrook. In 2019, Quinn Rooftiles have supplied over 200,000 roof tiles to Persimmon Homes developments in the area.
